Medical Training Therapy (MTT)

The main goal of Medical Training Therapy is to improve the functional resilience and the quality of muscle, tendons, joints and bones.

Medical Training Therapy utilises knowledge from exercise therapy, performance psychology and pathology, in order to implement and optimise the process of rehabilitation. Depending on the pathology, injury, post-operative situation, or the level of deficiency in movement, the primary focus is set on various exercises for strength, stability, mobilisation and coordination practice, or cardiovascular training.

In MTT, specific exercises are conducted, with free weights, at machines, with pulleys and small devices. MTT is an active form of therapy with the aim to support all wound-healing and rehabilitation processes as well as possible, and to optimise the resilience of muscles, tendons, bones and joints (in daily life, on the job and for sports).

The objective of MTT is to create personal responsibility in the patient, and that he or she is equipped to execute a routine autonomously. The training routine is customised to each patient’s needs. The medical diagnosis, current phase of rehabilitation, prior physicial condition as well as age define the choice and intensity of the rehabilitation exercises.
